Christmas Eve 1996.

I have a memory of watching A Question of Sport on a Christmas Eve. This may well have been it.

The second Christmas special of The Brittas Empire is here too.

On Channel 4 at 10pm, the original airing of the Father Ted Christmas special.

The first episode of Spitting Image aired on this day in 1984 on ITV. 40 years ago today.

While Margaret Thatcher impersonates the Queen, can Joan Collins really be in bed with John McEnroe? As Bob Dylan protests against the use of cheese, Mick Jagger gets in trouble whilst abusing other dairy products. Meanwhile, in `The Presidents Brain Is Missing', President Reagan wakes up in bed with a stuffed monkey.

I assume this is a private effort by the youtuber - a colourised version of that first episode.

Michael Okuda @MikeOkuda

March 11, 2024 marks the 60th anniversary of the day Gene Roddenberry first put Star Trek down on paper. His Star Trek format was his proposal that piqued the interest of Desilu Studios and NBC leading to the production of the first Star Trek pilot
