I was just about to mention it. It goes off air at 1.45pm until Blue Peter at 5.10pm. I didn't know they used to do that. The Ginge Reaper wrote: ↑Thu Apr 13, 2023 4:31 pm Note the two huge gaps in the late morning and afternoon. Ridiculous.

I do enjoy the oul closedowns though. This is the very last Granada one, as they preview the "new age" of overnight TV. Granada one of the few ITV regions who tossed the National Anthem off (Ulster was another)

13th April was a Saturday in 1957.
ITV Midlands brinngs you Rolf Harris before the football results, a treat. He must be about 100, disgrace.

He had his own TV show at least 6 years before Doctor Who first aired. I hadn't thought of him as being so old.Captain Hobo wrote: ↑Fri Apr 14, 2023 2:48 amHe's 93. Surprisingly only Wolf has him in the Death Pool.

Aussies won. The tournament is mostly remembered for the farcical end to the Final when the umpires made them play in near darkness.
