Thanks to Jetze on twitter as always for these.

PDC Asian Tour Order of Merit | 9/24 events
Three surprising winners in the Philippines this weekend. No changes to the top six.
Next stop: Hong Kong in two weeks. That could be very interesting.

Re: 2023 PDC Asian Tour
I hope so. Those 1 day qualifying events in Asia dont add a lot to the quality of the WC. Think the PDC should give more qualifying spots to Top-X players on tours instead of all those regional Indian or Brazilian qualifiers etc

Re: 2023 PDC Asian Tour
They are heading in that direction, as it says on the DPNZ site here: https://www.dartplayers.co.nz/2023/02/2 ... up-update/
World Championship Selection from 2024
2023 will see the final year of the Top 16 Play Off.
The PDC want to have consistency with their affiliates throughout the world and it will be the Number 1 ranked player at the end of the 2024 season.

Re: 2023 PDC Asian Tour
A real chance for Ilagan to pull clear this weekend with so many players absent...mind you, he did have completely unknown players (to us at least) chuck tremendous stuff against him!Rogg wrote: βSun Apr 16, 2023 2:10 pm Thanks to Jetze on twitter as always for these.

Re: 2023 PDC Asian Tour
I think so. PDJ would have their own qualifier as well. Not sure about the other asian countries (China, India likely)

Re: 2023 PDC Asian Tour
Be interesting to see if the Chinese qualifier reverts to being based off the league table for the Premier League thing they do there, and of course if Zong can come over, I've been pleasantly surprised by his stats given he hasn't played at real professional level since the 2020 Worlds IIRC. The Japanese have their own national steel-tip circuit now (although I think they've only used it for virtual comps, Zeyes or someone else might know better!), perhaps that will change to being used for their qualifier one day if not this yearoche balboa wrote: βMon Apr 17, 2023 8:37 amI think so. Still a lot of notable absentees, none of the most recent 3 Filipino winners, nor Ilagan are there

Re: 2023 PDC Asian Tour
Our friend Christian Perez wins the first event of the weekend in China, beating Kumar, who made his second final of the season. Perez hasn't played in all of these, but he hasn't done as well as you might think in the ones he has, still got some work to do I think

Re: 2023 PDC Asian Tour
After missing out on the Filipino weekend, the Japanese players returned, but none of them went really deep in event 10

Re: 2023 PDC Asian Tour
Probably helped by the fact that the early stages are first to 4 legs, but these events are proving to be bunfights, anyone can beat anyone
