Chuck Norris, Winstanley, Dekker and Kong all rejected but turned up at QS a year or two later

Ah right. There you go then senna. Bunting indeed. I don't know when the offer to lake semi-finalists actually stopped.

Would have been easier to find them, if they are sorted by their surname.

IIRC, Norris was going to attend Q School before making the Lakeside final in 2014.

I would guess that one factor was that while the BDO was on the decline in 2014, and had been for a while, it wasn't quite the joke it became a few years later. Also, IIRC the BDO claimed that semi-finalists were contractually obliged to appear the following year. Perhaps those players, unlike Bunting, took those claims seriously.

The BDO also tended to go into bullshit overdrive of a December to prevent players from switching. Around that time it would have been BDO Events and the launch of the forever doomed World Trophy in 2014. Bunting was even in the draw I think, oops. De:Sucks would take it to a whole other level a while later.

Ah yes, after Windgate Mk II, which was the second most controversial thing Hankey has been involved in

Everybody is looking for Hamilton and for Andy only after that, for example.

How they intended to create the original 128:

◉ Top 96 x full PDPA members from the PDC Order of Merit (having competed in at least 10 events which are counted on the PDC Order of Merit during the preceding two years) as of December 1 2010.

◉ 4 x semi-finalists from the 2011 Lakeside Championship

◉ 2 x finalists from the 2011 PDC World Under-21 Championship

◉ 2 x finalists from the 2010 PDC World Women's Championship

◉ 24 x players who progress from 2011 Q School
