Presumably England Darts have actually run it by the WDF? Other countries will be raising an eyebrow surely. If a country is allowed to run a cluster of bronze events suddenly...

2.07 In any calendar [sic] all Member Darts Bodies may apply for a maximum of sixteen WDF Ranking Tournaments with no more than two Men’s and two Women’s Ranking Tournaments at each Sanctioned Event:

I do note though they have changed the rule (as of the start of this year) that states the Women's winner has to get at least the same as what the men's runner up gets.

Are English players being squeezed out of Lakey? After Hurrellbob and Littler we're struggling.

Aye the new regime does seem to favour the dirty stinking foreigners more than ever, Fatz will be turning in his grave. Doesn't help when England Darts can't even put their flagship event on, have I mentioned that it is a disgrace?

The merits of the world system that the WDF are focused on. It's not a bad thing IMO

I agree but it might partly explain why England Darts seem to be increasingly flustered.

...all while they provide hardly anything for English players in terms of the Lakey race. They seem helpless to do anything about it.

From what i can gather the Double 16 events will be what the England Darts will look at as their Feeders. Steve Buk runs these and he has begun to help out on the Streaming side of things since they disaster last year.

So it isn't even a case of them running extra events themselves, just latch onto someone elses as they can't be arsed sorting something out themselves.

Pathetic.

The PDC will find a way to shoehorn him in.

They won't. They didn't in 2023. Doubt it'll change for 2024. Same for Fallon, although obviously she fits the PDC's agenda far more.
