Sorry Oche, but I don't think that TT is totally stuck in the past. He has tried to do new things, even if they don't work. After all, weren't the EDO first to flirt with FrontRunner, which BDO ended up doing too?

Covid and the collapse of the BDO has totally fucked them. The EDO ran the comp and ran it well for close to 25 years with an impressive prize fund - 15K for the men in 2019 and its probably the competition that cultivated the youth in the ladies game. The prize fund wasn't earth shattering but there was a reliable and semi-prestigious event every year for "girls" that features a who's who of up and coming (both at the time and now) young women.

That's fine deadshot. TT was forward thinking but by covid he was living in the past.

Tommy Thompson should have resigned last year, but its his baby and he won't do such a thing

Are they really skint though?
What did they spend money on recently?
Maybe just being careful with what little funds they have.

Couldn't they just extend the hire for one day and run the England Open there instead? Better than nowt.

Perhaps because it was ran on a holiday park for years until they parted ways with Bunn Leisure they have struggled to find an alternative that will also provide cheap accommodation and sponsor it.

What's the point, they have relegated it to a short format legplay crapshoot. Time to bin it.
