UK Open 2023

Post by TheMalteseDart » Mon Dec 19, 2022 1:15 am

Probably way too early for this thread, but we have some news on it and I thought i'd post it now before the image gets lost as Oche tweets 100 times a day...

Riley's Qualifier venues have been announced. 3 in Victoria, 2 in Norwich, 2 in Chorlton, 2 in Liverpool, 2 in Coventry, 2 in Chester

I don't think they normally do that, I assume a lot of Riley's bars have closed down? Think it would be better if they were spread fairly across the country but alas.

Shall I enter the Coventry one for a laugh?

All the ladies of the night hang round close to the venue.
Might as well spend my tenner a little more wisely.
Sure, I might get herpes but it’s an experience.

I’ll go to Benfleet and ask Des Selecta to rig the draw so we play each other.
At least that way one of us will be one step closer to playing Ryan Joyce.

Probably more chance of a bullseye finish

If you average 45+ then I don't want to play you. I only wanna be drawn against someone's old granny who's playing for a laugh

I throw some utter dross at times.
Like real bad stuff.
But perhaps you could play a Chelsea Pensioner?

I wonder which one of the venue's will have the flooding toilets this time around, They never seem to run smoothly these Rileys events.

They should move away from Rileys. And try and put one event in most corners of the country. Scotland should have one too

Penzance has been cancelled as the pirates have turned up.

I think with the tournament being an open the pure open qualifiers are a good thing I’d rather it be how it is now than being picked from ADC rankings personally. But they could just pick venues across the uk manually rather than relying on Riley’s if there’s not enough bars anymore

IF ADC provided the qualifiers

Michael Burgoine
Steve Hine
Kevin McDine
Robbie Gorst
Adam Mould
Ryan Palmer
Michael Warburton
Peter Jacques
Scotland Ranking Table

Mind you they are cutting from 16 to 9 anyway
