They did a Danish ET twice, since been fucked off and yet they still do a Copenhagen World Series Event. Anyone know why the ET was fucked off? I can't believe it's got worse instead of better in terms of the range of countries on the ET
WS is easier to sell out? It's 2 sessions instead of 6 and you have all the top players guaranteed.
I don't remember the ET event doing too well in terms of crowds

Fair enough, tbf I wasn't watching darts back then but have just been looking through old events recently and think it's a shame it's so Germany heavy, but I believe they pay a significant amount.
Crowd looks fairly decent for this final
Ideally I'd want 13 events in 13 different countries but that's never gonna happen

I guess the Polish punters will just be happy to have an event of any stripe, I'm not sure they'll be fussed what kind
ET and WS events are extremely different from each other to us, but yes, not necessarily to general people around the world. A night at the darts is a night at the darts on some level.
The long-term plan is for the World Series to be ranking events too but not in their current form obviously. Interesting years ahead for sure.

Can only speak from experience but the WS crowd in Amsterdam was lightyears better than the PL mongs in Belfast, but that's to be expected

While in some ways it's kind of a false economy to have World Series events in Europe where the local hopefuls have much greater access to the professional game than Americans/Asians/Oceanians, I suppose it can prove a useful dip of the feet into the market to gauge interest...this is a good sign and hopefully more comes from it. Kind of surprising that they've given a Euro Tour event to Switzerland, I thought they'd give it to somewhere else first (perhaps even give somewhere like Belgium a second event as the game seems to have really taken off there), but I like it a lot, everywhere else in the region has really developed in recent times, I don't see why Switzerland can't
Nice, hopefully the gradual de germanification of the ET can continue at pace.
Something like this would be the dream, but I imagine it's a long way off, and certainly for the time being some of those countries will continue getting World Series events rather than Euro Tours
Austria x2
Netherlands x2
Belgium x2
Germany x2
Switzerland
Poland
Czechia
Hungary
Denmark
Sweden

Would be great, maybe Austria x1 and then a wildcard like France or Spain instead
