I believe the BDO have always managed to get at least one win on day 1.

If Williams loses next, they will be whitewashed on day 1 for the first time.

The problem is that Wade, Price, Cross and Gurney didn't exactly play well either. All of the aforementioned averaged below 95.

They will just be recycled old excuses.

- The draw is rigged.

- They aren't used to playing on TV.

It was, but that concept is now outdated. The tournament has served its initial purpose as a "battle of the codes" event, there's nothing to exhaust from it anymore.

This comp needs a shake-up.

Suzuki came closer out of the BDO players of winning a game. She won 3 legs. The others won 2 or less.

Surely it'd be much more worth their while trying to tempt over the overseas players at this stage? Nothing stopping these guys trying out Q-School
