Barely noticed him up until these recent PC events, but it goes to show how important the Worlds is considering a solid 2 last 16s and a last 32 has managed to bump him up so high
Also menzies has moved himself clear with a good couple of days
Cammy was looking OK before thanks to his good year last year, but he's basically rubber stamped his card now

Could King be out by the end of this year? No Worlds spot whilst there'll be a few ranked below him that'll end up being there and earning cash

I think he'll just about survive 2023 but will likely lose it next year.

Boris is in danger as well, not qualifying for euro tours could cost him his card

Nick Kenny on Facebook

“I’ve decided to step away from the game for the rest of the year at least and see how I feel in January about next year on the PDC. I feel burnt out and think I need to change my ways especially for my own health and well being. I have been travelling for 10 years up and down the UK and Europe and at the current time, although I’m actually playing really well, I’m going to step away for now. Thanks for everyone’s support. Not done too bad.“

You can't blame him too much, it's a long and stressful tour to play on.

Lewis has done the same, taking time out to improve his own well being.

It shows how soul destroying playing in the PDC must be.

Boulton has been way better off it than on imo, got to play Modus, more appearances on the ET through being one of the best Associate Members, and played pretty much every pro tour

As for Kenny i've seen him throw some decent games this year, 10.25k on the OOM isn't great though, I can see how it takes its toll

Yep, I think it will happen a lot more over the next few years.. It is a tough tour and when you are not getting decent results, it must be pretty gruelling mentally

I like/liked watching all darts of all levels, so naturally watching the BDO was something I did regularly.

But the BDO's schedule could be soul destroying too with the travelling everywhere for ranking points

Vandenbogaerde falls outside the provisional top 64 for the first time in a long time, Hempel goes above the dreaded dotted line. I sort of assumed Vandenbogaerde would be OK as you'd think he'd be favourite to win his Worlds match (not to mention he's 37th on the Players Championship race), but looking at this, the closest player not at the Worlds is Boris. I think Boris *should* be OK considering he would currently need Doets and Hempel to win their game to drop out (I'm taking it as a given that van Veen will lol, he has so many chances) and Mario to win 2, but all it would take is a poor end to the season and the others in the hunt to finish relatively strongly and/or win a game at the Worlds and he's toast. King I don't think is entirely safe neither

Edhouse, Kleermaker and Hughes on paper *look* fine, but considering they are £250, £1,250 and £1,500 inside the Worlds spots at the moment, things can change quickly. Menzies and Mansell not totally out of the woods, but just a few more wins on the tour should secure their Worlds spot and with it their place on the tour

Another thing possibly to throw into the mix, will Lewis hand in his card?

Such is the sudden surge of players like Menzies, Doets and Hempel, what seemed the impossibility of King losing his card this year is becoming more and more possible.

He'll probably survive, but only just. Next year for him will be a Devon Petersen-esque survival act

Good shout, I'm not convinced he will pack it in completely, maybe a break is exactly what he needs, and he'll back himself to get back into the top 64 within a year anyway. Cadby surely will hand it in, but that card would go to Q-School, what a waste of time he is, he was soooo good when he first burst into the scene
