I don't understand why the likes of Oche and Thorn want Duff to be invited.

Surely it would make the WDF look bad if Duff bombed out in the Group Stage, which would be the most likely scenario.

We'll compare the non-card holders who qualify against the corresponding number of players that the WDF men's/women's rankings would have provided.

To an extent both lists will be similar. Could be Berry, Littler, Greaves... There will be plenty of interest in non-card holders for sure. They just won't have qualified via the BDO/WDF route anymore.

World champ at least. Its a big title. Of course it depends on who wins it but there are a lot of interesting players
