Undisputed the top 4

Then Anderson, Barney and Wright come next. Wright the weakest of the three.

Then the next are between Wilson, Priestley, Part, Lewis, Wade, Price and Bob Anderson.

Definitely a gap after that where you get the likes of Cross, Adams, Lloyd etc.

I’d argue Wadey and Price could be above Lewis. Both have won more and Wade has been at the top much longer. Of Wade ever to win a world title he would be knocking on the door for top 5 all time. Longevity has to count for something despite him not winning the worlds.
There's a few different ways to measure it and I try to use a mix of all of them. Trophies, (Worlds hold more weight), longevity, and also just pure talent. As Lewis's talent was so high I just can't not put him in my top 10 at the moment
No Jocky Wilson?

I know Part has 3 World titles but I feel two unified ones for Wilson are better. Especially as Part's 1994 and 2008 ones were up there as the weakest in each of their codes.

Lewis is still higher than Price agreed.
I think you can make a case for both. You can look at Part's fields as a way of diminishing his achievements but 2008 was a very strong field and he still beat Taylor to the title twice

This is true

The 2008 final vs Shepherd and the following PL season where my earliest memories of darts but even then I could sense it wasn't as 'exciting' for tv as it could have been with Part as reigning World Champion.

But you can't deny Mardle should've won the Worlds that year. Like Wade in 2012

Part beat a decent version of Taylor in 03.

He also beat a peak version of Barney to win the Desert Classic.

He held his nerve better than others during the first year at Ally Pally.

I probably wouldn't have him in my top 10, but I can see a decent argument for him.

If we compare PDC ‘major titles’ between Wade/Lewis and Price.

Wade 11 wins 15 R.UP. 0 world titles
Lewis 4 wins 10 R.UP. 2 world titles
Price 7 wins 8 R.UP. 1 world titles

Whilst Lewis had great natural talent. If he was a s good as some make out, he would have at least made more finals. Lewis and Wade came along around the same time, Wade has had a better career imo despite him not winning a world title.

I don't really have an opinion on who should rank higher between Wade and Lewis, but World Titles trump all other events. For example, 1 of Lewis's Ally Pally titles is easily worth more than Wade's CLOD, Masters, and World Series titles combined.

Btw, you've listed Part ahead of Price, despite Part only winning as many TV titles as Lewis (4).

Price would be the only big mover if this was redone

I’m not sure why we’ve considered Robert Thornton the 15th best player to ever throw a dart

I just compared his achievements to Gando's.

I still have Gando ahead, albeit marginally.

And aye, Wright would almost certainly crack my top 10.

I think it's stayed the same really. Taylor is obviously ahead. You could also make a decent case for Bristow being ranked above him

But nobody else really.

His peak was probably higher than anyone's other than 2008-2010 Taylor or perhaps 2000-2002 Taylor.

Bunting when he won World Masters?

I haven’t. I put them in the same grouping but not in any specific order.
