I keep meaning to ask mate how popular is Snooker and Darts in Aus.Captain Hobo wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 12:25 amBeen like that before. Still bleached but not straightened.

Snooker is not popular at all. A real niche sport. Neil Robertson's family are involved in Snooker and I think owned a snooker club in Melbourne when Neil was growing up which is how he got involved. It's not a sport that you would randomly pick up growing up here that is for sure. I wouldn't know where to play if I wanted to.Safc wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 12:39 amI keep meaning to ask mate how popular is Snooker and Darts in Aus.Captain Hobo wrote: ↑Wed Mar 24, 2021 12:25 amBeen like that before. Snooker especially dosen't seem the type of sport Australians would like.
It's a shame about the snooker not being shown like you say how do they expect something to grow when you can't watch it or go anywhere to play it.Captain Hobo wrote: ↑Thu Mar 25, 2021 1:28 amSnooker is not popular at all. There is also very little TV coverage of the major tournaments. The Tour Championship is not on TV here despite the website saying it is. Hard to grow interest in a sport when no one can watch it.
Darts is much more popular in the last 10 years. Since Whitlock made the final in 2010 all the Majors are on TV and there are quite a few leagues around to play if you want to. I have given up the last couple of years though.
