Something's clearly gone wrong with the format. What an absolute mess.

De Graaf beats Podgorska 6-5, Mikuru highest average so far with 83.

I'd imagine only the first round was supposed to be best of 7 but they messed it up and had some best of 11 first round games as well as some best of 7 second round games.

Maybe. But what's the point of that really, having the first round that much shorter when it's only a few games anyway? It wouldn't have had any impact really if everything was best of 11.

Yeah, that's absolutely stupid.

DartFan13 looks to be correct as well; the only two games in the L32 which were played first to 4 were the only two boards that didn't have a L64 game.

The published format was this:
●Best of 7 legs up to and including the Quarter Finals
●Semi Finals best of 9 legs
●Final best of 11 legs.
Seems they have since extended it, surely due to low entries. who got what memo, nobody knows

Reads like the format for a BDO shitfest.

Aileen out to Sato. Mikuru and Ana both through to the quarters with sub-70 averages :?

QFs:
Suzuki v Ivey/Wajer
Dobromyslova v Hammond/Zijlstra
Kaup v Zumbusch/Slowikowska
Sato v Steenbergen

One of Sandra Kaup, Renata Slowikowska, Kasumi Sato and Priscilla Steenbergen will be in the final.

Sandra Kaup appears to have lost in the last 32 and then won in the last 16

Dartconnect shows she lost 4-3, that is. Presumably the game actually continued to best of 11 and she won it.

That Kaup/Slowikowska business is deplorable. They're toast.

Steenbergen is de Graaf's bird. Played each other at the CatasTrophy.

Ah, I knew I'd seen that name before but couldn't place it.

Corrine harpoons the Dutch Whale. Now plays Ana in the quarters.

Randall's Australian crush 5-4 up on Ana, but opens with a visit of 8 when throwing for the match

Dartconnect fucks up again, apparently it was 85 not 8. Still in danger of being broken

Hammond wins 6-5. Could have done it 6-3 but bust her score on 81 somehow

Edgy last leg, but Corrine wins it in the end, missed three darts, Ana missed one for a 108 finish, but Corrine hits at the 5th time of asking

Hammond-Suzuki and Sato-Slowikowska in the semis, the two Japanese ladies probably go in as favourites

And it's confirmed, both Japanese ladies win 6-1. How many millions will be tuning in from Asia this December I wonder?

Sato looking better today, consistently averaging around the 80 mark, whereas Suzuki has dipped into the 60s and low 70s at times
