It's always more fun when we give everyone a massive head start.

Scandalously. Liverfool must feel daft paying that for Carroll now.

Cesc is nowhere near as good as ronnie though. Arsenals problem was there was only one team bidding & everyone knew that was where cesc wanted to go. Limits the flexibility of negotiations.

I was thinking the exact same thing when I was coming home from work and heard it on the radio.

If you want to think it's amazing business, consider that nasri will go to citeh for 25m with one year left on his deal.

I think it is good business Knots, it's not like Arsenal had to sell or get nothing in a years time as is the case with Nasri.

Let's see how Arsene spends the money, I expect him to bring in an unknown 17 year old French winger

Paid 2.5m for cesc.

Ah, but Henry cost them a fortune. & was already an established player.

He needs Cahill defensively.

He has Ramsey & wilshere for the middle of the park, so creatively they shouldn't suffer going by his logic. They need a destroyer in there though. Oh, and a striker not made of glass.

Agree Knots. Arsenal for the last few years have heeded what Alf Ramsey used to call the spine of a team. Keeper, centre back, solid midfielder and centre forward. I don't think the game's changed that much since his time to make that theory redundant.
