Re: 2024 World Cup of Darts
canada uses the rolling ranking OoM to determine their representatives
(not the yearly points ranking)
so it's tough toenails for matt campbell.

Re: 2024 World Cup of Darts
Does that Kovács played at the Romanian shitfest instead of the Hungarian Super League mean he's already out of the World Cup? Still no update of this. Or has he qualified earlier somehow? Every big names played, including Sárai, his teammate from last year.

He chose not to play the Superleague this yearGreipel wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 11:02 pm Does that Kovács played at the Romanian shitfest instead of the Hungarian Super League mean he's already out of the World Cup? So I take it he's out, unless he qualifies for a Euro Tour

We better hope for 2 of Jagicza, Major and Szekely to qualify. Otherwise this will be very dire.Greipel wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 11:13 pmOh my, what a mong...The Thorn wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 11:11 pmHe chose not to play the Superleague this yearGreipel wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 11:02 pm Does that Kovács played at the Romanian shitfest instead of the Hungarian Super League mean he's already out of the World Cup? Yes, them. Jehirszki is also looking so good now. A total new name for me but he's playing top in Hungarian standard. The Thorn wrote: ↑Mon Jan 29, 2024 11:16 pmWe better hope for 2 of Jagicza, Major and Szekely to qualify. Re: 2024 World Cup of Darts
Croatia strike a significant blow in the race to be seeded in the group phase with Romeo Grbavac qualifying for ET1, while everyone else apart from Czechia and Poland will need 2 different qualifiers from the ET5 to (most likely) ET7 (unless Szekely gets on the ProTour and wins a game, then Hungary may only need 1 ET qualifier). I'd say it's likely we'll see at least one Swede on the Euro Tour before the cut-off, and certainly not out of the question that someone like Vlad or Toft Jorgensen for Denmark make it 2 on the OoM for their respective countries, Finland and Lithuania would both need 2 qualifiers from those likely 7 events

Re: 2024 World Cup of Darts
Grbavac makes ET 4 also Croatia seeding basically secured already.
Team Corvid 2024 consists of the following 12 players.
Clayton, Cross, Gilding, De Sousa, Dolan, Evans, Campbell, Krcmar, Lauby, Puha, Szaganski and Turetta

Re: 2024 World Cup of Darts
Croatia already had an advantage over the likes of Sweden and Denmark as Boris is starting from within the top 64, but with Romeo on £2.5k now, that'll help both him and the Croats' cause. Of course, I forgot that Zhukov might qualify for a Euro Tour again and push Latvia into the seeds, but it's hard to envisage anyone else doing so as their main players are either starting from scratch, and/or very unlikely to be backed up by a second player

Re: 2024 World Cup of Darts
If that happens to Székely and someone somehow still qualifies for the ET then what will be the point of the Super League? It is supposed to be the qualifier of the top 2 players.thegentle wrote: ↑Sun Feb 11, 2024 8:37 pm Croatia strike a significant blow in the race to be seeded in the group phase with Romeo Grbavac qualifying for ET1, while everyone else apart from Czechia and Poland will need 2 different qualifiers from the ET5 to (most likely) ET7 (unless Szekely gets on the ProTour and wins a game, then Hungary may only need 1 ET qualifier).
