Not forgotten by me. They were classics, like their 2003 World Championship final, their 2002 World Matchplay final and their 2002-2003 World Grand Prix finals.
The grand prix finals were probably as good as Taylor ever was.
I do believe the 01 era Taylor was his zenith

The boards in 09 weren't half as ridiculous as they are now bit 01 his numbers were silly
That said for periods of 97 it seems he was even better

I recall I once checked their head to head and found that the Matchplay 05 was the last significant success Part had over Taylor.

I agree that it was an underrated rivalry between 2002 and 2005.
