I wouldn't mind if it was a show that was always average or crap like Friends or Family Guy. In fact, I'd love it if Friends was rebooted and bombed.

But Frasier was great in its pomp.

I will watch the Frasier reboot. Of course it won't be as good as the original, but I think having new supporting cast gives it a chance to be OK.

And even if it's absolutely terrible, it doesn't take anything away from the original series.

Frasier may have been past his best in its later seasons, but it was always a very good comedy. It was never average, let alone shite.

I don't want to experience crap Frasier. Same as I am thankful I never experienced crap Seinfeld or Father Ted.

The poorly received Only Fools comeback episodes didn't detract from how great the series was in its pomp, but it did mean the series bowed out with a wimper and dented its legacy slightly.

Many people mention the comeback episodes and how crap they were while discussing the show.

That is selling it short. Granted, I haven't re-watched it in years, but my memory of it is that of one of the greatest shows ever produced.
