Somehow it's already 2 years to the day since the dreaded 'Flux' began, the 13th series of Doctor Who.
The episode was called 'The Halloween Apocalypse'.
If you look behind the house on the right side, you'll work out where the Tardis landed. Jodie gets giddy. Not sure if it makes it canon that the Doctor is a Liverpool fan.

The 13th episode of Mr Bean first aired on Halloween night in 1995.
+ random bonus Kenneth Williams as Dracula.

Sunday 1st November 1992. UK Gold is here.
Quite neat that classic Doctor Who finally lands on the iplayer on the same date that UK Gold began broadcasting.
Seeing as UK Gold is where I saw Doctor Who for the first time as a kid. I don't know how, when or if I'd have come to the show otherwise. Article below this vid.

This is the pattern that UK Gold had for showing Doctor Who. Starting on Monday 2nd November 1992.
I have many nice memories of watching it is a miniature person. 'The Addams Family' was usually in the slot before it. I hated that though. They were weird cunts.

We had a few of the omninus editions recorded on VHS. Watched them loads.
I converted some old tapes a few years ago and found bits and bobs of Who still on them. Lovely stuff.

ITV4, the home of world darts, began broadcasting on this day in 2005.
It seems its very first show was live football: Real Betis v Chelsea in the Champions League.

The Play for Today classic 'Abigail's Party' first aired on this day in 1977. It makes me feel sick. The party from hell.

Demis Roussos is sound.
At least in Aphrodite's Child. He can fuck off with his 'my friend the wind' shit.

Tuesday 2nd November 1954.
The first episode of Hancock's Half Hour, the legendary radio comedy series written by Galton & Simpson who go on to write Steptoe & Son.
By miracles this very first episode survives. I've posted it underneath this Radio Times listing. Still sounding fresh on its 69th birthday.

Here's a different, larger ad. Probably asking for a photoshop.
Timothy Whites chemist... it's mentioned in Dad's Army sometimes. Could be wrong but I think it's the predecessor of Superdrug.
