is that because Painter had one good run and was pretty much useless the rest of the time? Or is it because the podcast sound is absolute shit? or both? Many questions I know but haven't listened to this rim licking fest of a podcast for a some time.

I've never listened too it so couldn't comment on the quality.
My comment is purely about the quality of the selection

I wasn't expecting to enjoy the Deller interview but I did, even if you can tell he could tell you the story of his career while sleeping he is so versed in doing so

Made a good point on the spotting, it's a very overlooked and underappreciated side of broadcasting the game only really highlighted in a negative way when it/the camera work goes wrong.
