Think Green and Kist might get through.

Re: BDO Players In A Proper Tournament Discussion thread
With the short format the only ones I still don't see having a chance of getting through are Dekker and George. Even the weans might have a chance against Chisnall in a race to 5.

Re: BDO Players In A Proper Tournament Discussion thread
some good matchups among the "lower" players in the groups.
not sure which is the group of death. maybe group F?
Peter WRIGHT (7)
Simon Whitlock
Michael Smith
Brendan Dolan
although smith's role is more of a spoiler than an equal.

Also, you picked Hamilton, where I am going for Kist. You also picked Bully Smith, where as I have picked Dolan. Other than that, we share the same picks

Re: BDO Players In A Proper Tournament Discussion thread
The Grand Slam is one of my favourite tourneys.
The group stages, and BDO talent give the Grand Slam it's own identity.
We have been spoiled rotten the past 2 weekends. The ITV crew do a decent job. Not looking forward to Mardle being back on my screen.

Re: BDO Players In A Proper Tournament Discussion thread
GSoD is a decent comp one of the best ones, but most certainly nor the best, as that is the world Champs at Ally Pally, the pinnacle of darts.
As for the GSoD its always a great week, however over the years we got some god awful matches as well, we had some atrocious bdo jobbers in the past, and have a couple this year as well.
The pdc has a few as well thanks to the world cup, how can anyone truly forget the abysmal stuff of barrie bates

Re: BDO Players In A Proper Tournament Discussion thread
Poor matches is down to who actually qualified rather than the format itself, BDO players excepted!
Joking apart I like the short format group stage even though it does throw up a few dead rubbers at the death
