Think Duijvenbode has a chance as well. He and De Zwaan both have the game, just have to get accustomed to playing the pro tour, week in week out, and keep their confidence even if they're losing. It's a long learning curve in darts, you get the likes of Cross once in a lifetime but other than that, it might take decades to reach your prime.Sensur Muljovic wrote:I have faith in De Zwaan, he is only 21. He appears mentally weak, but who isn't at that age. Time will tell if he can "mature".cannibal wrote:Diogo may benefit with another year playing on the CT and doing the PC's as he did last year. Lets be real here, he wasn't doing much as far as results last year in those events. Still in the development stage for him so more playing against quality players is what he needs.
Other than Noppert there is nothing in that field from the Euro Q school that in 2 years time will be keeping the card. Maybe Zwaan but he has been playing awhile now and not seeing anything better than he played say 4 years ago. Seems to have all the potential in the world but can't fucking win. Probably another dutch head case.
Other than him and noppie the euro qualifiers seem bang average. Dvd will never be good enough, neither will davy van baelen or marijonovic ffs

I doubt he's in the UK Open already, that was just a match he won. Find it unlikely that the opponent in the qualifying final would average 51.Fiss Plaps wrote:Guess who's made it to Minehead again:The Thorn wrote:Can't even be arsed about the UK QS now.

Cody Harris out in the last 64 with a 0-5, so only Joyce and Prins remains of the 'Family'.

I dunno. The Thorn wrote:Probably yes. Hughes and Fitton don't really have a choice as they played Lakeshite last year so can't qualify in 2019. Toplad could but he's not good enough anyway and think he'll go with Fitton on the Challenge Tour. Portela wants to continue his PDC dream I assume so he'll be doing the CT as well.sennafan24 wrote:So will the likes of O'Shea, Fitton and Portela, Hughes, etc just play the Challenge Tour?
O'Shea was doing okay at BDO events at the tail-end of last year. I could see him qualifying for Lakeside. Hughes and Menzies were seeded 3rd and 8th respectively for Lakeside last year; neither have won a tour card.

Totally disagree Thorn. Each player gets four chances and an OOM to get a card. Any player who plays Q School in 2018 who played Lakeside 2018 makes themself ineligible for Lakeside 2019.sennafan24 wrote:Not sure.thegentle wrote:What does it mean by 'can't qualify in 2019'?sennafan24 wrote:I dunno. The Thorn wrote:Probably yes. Still feels massively undercooked to me though, as a way of sourcing Pro Tour players.
