Re: 2023 Grand Slam Race
Yes, to be fair to Petersen he didn't get the chance to play in his regional qualifier as they didn't manage to arrange it. Ratajski, then the BDO World Master, just missed out via the ProTour and was upset in the Eastern Euro qualifier, Jeff got invited even though the North American qualifier had already been played. The other invitee was Humphries as the hitherto unknown winner of the Development TourDeepFriedRat wrote: ↑Mon Jun 12, 2023 5:54 pmWas that the year Barry just randomly invited him, Petersen and Ratajski?

I've been a fan of Gando's for many years.
But he's made it very difficult in recent years. The Cullen incident in particular.

The 2018 Matchplay makes me kill myself. Chizzy, Cullen, Swan and Suljovic all in hot form. Could have been beautiful.

One fly away from seeing Mensur win the Matchplay, the most tragic event in darts history right next to Peter Wright saving his snakey skin against Malicdem...Rogg wrote: ↑Sun Jun 18, 2023 9:34 pmI liked the cuddly loser version of Anderson.sennafan24 wrote: ↑Sun Jun 18, 2023 9:00 pm I've been a fan of Gando's for many years.

The truth, however ugly in itself, is always curious and beautiful to seekers after it.
