Discuss. For me it's a no-no.

If it pushes the game in Asia, she will be in.

The top of the BDO rankings next year are either going to be massively weakened, or full of players who failed to get a tour card (probably a bit of both). If they continue to actually have a BDO contingent next year (I'd replace them with international qualifiers myself), then sure, why not include Suzuki, it's not like we can expect much better from anyone else

Personally I'm more pissed off with the floor qualifiers for the Grand Slam than any BDO/WDF representation.

Although as Rogg has pointed out recently, it was said that Mickey Mansell should have got in automatically after winning that Players Championship but look what happened to him at the Worlds.

Yep, the BDO lads were much better than the floor qualifiers last year, but they'll surely be a lot weaker this year. If it were up to me I'd reduce the BDO contingent for this year, have maybe 8 international qualifiers and scrap the floor qualifier unless they need to make up the numbers

Really? Didn't as many floor qualifiers as BDO players get through the group stage last year?

Meh, performance on the day can be an issue for any player. Can't legislate for that with entry criteria, so that's no reason to snub guys who should be there on merit.

#BDODarts just a thought why not extend lakeside to a two week comp make it 64 men and 32 woman then the prize money could go up to say £200000 for mens winner and maybe £50000 to womans winner

On the one hand it would bankrupt them quicker.

On the other...

Why not just make it a month long? Bull start, best of 49 sets in the final and give 3 or 4 mil to the winner. Players are required to bring their own unicorns to sit on the back of at the oche.

Is your mind still in 2018?
Seriously, only Bunting of the floor players got through, there were a mere 4 wins in the whole tournament that weren't against fellow floor jobbers, and a floor player finished bottom in every group they appeared in. Gilding beating Durrant was hilarious and all, but we also had to suffer Joe Murnan and the likes

The floor qualifier for the Grand Slam is the worst. Every year most of them are just cloggers. I just know if there will be one this year, Joe Murnan will find a way through.

Ironic isn't it, the first year they expanded the floor tournament, Murnan was one of the unlucky ProTour winners to miss out. He's still ended up benefiting from the rule though! Unless he wins back his tour card (which is pretty unlikely), that'll be the end of him at any TV events

Those Winmau boards will look as rough as Unicorn ones by the end of it all!
