Who is the best of the players ranked 17-26 in that list?
Hate to say it, but probably Harbour indeed. He'd be "top 16 easily" (to borrow a phrase) if he played the full tour and not just the UK events.

Ross Montgomery obviously...or possibly Dennis Harbour.
not sure if you're even joking... :D that pretty much is the answer. Nothing is lost if you were to get rid of the whole lot. Apart from the entire tour collapsing.
Anyone with any drive and ambition is already plying their trade elsewhere (or soon will be) the BDO old guard can go and fuck themselves.

Might be Nick Kenny I think, the lad's talented and he's in a good place considering his age.

Won't be hanging around in the BDO too long then.

Even compared to about 4, 5 or 6 years ago, the quality of the BDO "World Championship" has declined to shocking levels. I don't see how anyone can convince themselves now that this is a "World Championship" even with a suspension of belief and a BDO fanboy/fangirl hat on. Looks like Barry Hearn is moving closer to his wish that Lakeside ceases to be an official "World Professional Championship".

PDC Development Tour players qualifying for Lakeside - Reynolds, Kenny and Hendriks - has brought some interesting new meaning to the tournament. It's very good for their development.

Although the BDO would sooner fold completely than ever actually admit to being a development body. In fact they're probably tempted to kick out the Dev. Tour players already.

Yep. I didn't watch one BDO match for around 10 years after the split.

How anyone could take the BDO seriously after the split is just beyond me.

For the last 23 years no one in the BDO 'world' championship has beaten the best player in the world.

See the other thread I started on this theme, some would have won even less than that for a similar amount of events.

McLoyalty qualified for Lakeside with 204 points, 110 of them won in the last 6 weeks. Nearly enough to make him a seed in the end. Like a knife through butter once he found his A game. 8-)

Belgium Open 07/08/2016 placed 1 35 pts
Swedish Open 20/08/2016 placed 3 25 pts
British Open 18/09/2016 placed 9 21 pts

Robson may have qualified had he not tossed off the first 4 months of the year for some unknown reason.
