ran across this looking for viewing figures on BBC Champions league. A bit dated but the growth given up to 2016 is impressive. 2 things in this not found elsewhere is the discussion of markets outside the UK and that on the proper use of social media tied with broadcasters.
Warning: far too long for Chizzyfan to read so move along nothing to see here for the lover of golden showers.
Dirty old goat.
Mind you, my new missus is 17 years younger than me.

Ricky Evans hoping to make his mark at the World Grand Prix
If you throw a 180 in 2.16 secs on the Alexandra Palace stage you are going viral; a walk-on to the tune of the 'Baby Shark' may also cause something of a stir but a maiden European Tour final earlier this year ahead of a World Grand Prix debut suggests there is more to 'Rapid' Ricky Evans than being a social media sensation

Just had a read of that and they've messed up big time regarding his Worlds appearances:
Evans made his mark to the wider audience with that quickfire 180 at the 2016 World Championships but even then there was more to him that trigger-happy tungsten.
He had come through the preliminary round to beat Simon Whitlock from 2-0 down in sets and 2-0 in legs. He then pushed Michael Smith all the way in the second round before bowing out.
That super fast 180 was at the 2017 Worlds against Smith in round 1. He's never played in the preliminary round and lost 4-0 to Cyclops after he beat Whitlock.

Blimey. Old Gilbert. 7 year ban for match-fixing. Article is translated there somewhere, can't do it currently. His match against Kevin Simm at Ally Pally.
Article claims it was due to his match at the 2017 PDC World Cup, bit of poor journalism there.

The rumours were correct then. Was this the game where he went for some crazy outshot choices, and that's why people reckoned he threw the match? Not a particularly clever way of doing it.

'World Cup' is often what I see Euro media calling the World Championship. They do that for some reason.
This is the tweet of the result from the time. There was another tweet during the game where a few people were saying it looked dodgy. I didn't notice anything personally, think I just assumed he was some weirdo going about his business!
