Short of lockdown nothing is going to control it
The vaccines may prevent the majority becoming seriously ill but as we approach and pass 1 million cases a week isolating the infrastructure won't hold up

The guy in Germany was right, in 12 months everyone will have had it and recovered or be dead.
With a million cases doubling to 2 etc it will be through the population quicker than that
Once all the vulnerable are dead it's sorted
