Must be more than a decade since I last watched one of these live. I am ready to have my childhood destroyed.

Depends on the level of trans/pronoun tedium a person can endure in their entertainment. Personally, not so much.

The trans woman tells off the Doctor for assuming the pronoun of the space rabbit. So he then dutifully asks it for its preferred pronoun.

She later saves the day by being 'non-binary' in some garbled bit of plotting: 'I'm neither - I'm better'. She also refers to the Doctor as 'male-presenting'.

UNIT's scientific advisor is a lady in a wheelchair and she zapped rockets at things.

Doctor: 'You have missiles in your wheelchair?'
Lady: 'We all do!'

Wtf. I don't know if I misunderstood that. Russell can't seem to stop having mad ideas about wheelchairs.

The new Tardis interior had an unexpected echo of the original. Looked incredible.

Nice. Do you have further Who viewing plans once you've finished the Pertwees?

I have the same feeling about the Tom years.

I think you should try some of the animated Troughton eps.

Yayyy. Good idea. The final ep of Tenth Planet is animated, so that will ease you into the experience.

Channel 5 did one of their telly lookback things on the subject of Doctor Who last night apparently.

Doctor Who: 60 Years of Secrets and Scandals

Proposing to children that 'non-binary' is 'better' will be in the next edition I assume.

Katy Manning did a photoshoot of her naked self coiled around a dalek. I don't know if she were in the show at the point but no doubt they mentioned it.

John Nathan-Turner allegedly spat at Nicola Bryant because of the attention she was getting from, erm, young fellas. Quite a few vile rumours about JNT but I don't know what's true.

Allegations that Hartnell was vocally intolerant of the black actor in The Tenth Planet.

Troughton had two families or something, and kept the second one a secret.

The BBC are political activists and have put Doctor Who at the heart of it all. Whether they set out to do this or just got swept along in it I don't know, but here we are.
