So he gets away with fuck all, well done
Suspended bans mean nothing, of course he's not going to be that fucking stupid to do something silly again

3 large is nothing to Lewis.
People have been fined similar for far less if I remember correctly.

van Gerwin did worse last year assaulting his opponent by aggressively shoving him over a table and was only fined £500, there was no temporary suspensions from the tour or suspended bans, double standards from the DRA & PDC and the fans on twitter are trolling Lewis trying to make him apologise to Jose, there was not one squeak from the media or twitter lot over the MvG incident, one rule for the new Golden Boy who can do no wrong and one for everyone else.

That incident didn't happen during a match I believe, but definitely wasn't streamed. We don't know exactly what happened, surely had it been more serious, MVG would have got a larger fine, paying 500 quid or 3k, doesn't matter to him anyway.

The 3k fine for Lewis is nothing essentially, this is a guy who has earned millions from darts. His suspended ban will likely mean that he won't have to miss tournaments. Lewis got off very lightly.

Barney got more for his tantrum and that was in the practice room.
I know one part of his fine was for spitting which is vile but he didn't lay a hand on another player.
I expect they would have been a lot harder on Ady if it had been a TV tournament rather than a streamed event

PDC have chickened out big time by not issuing a harsher punishment.

Shouldn't matter if it's Adrian Lewis, actually grabbing an opposing player like he did is deserving of far more than just a £3k fine and a suspended sentence.

The most depressing man on this planet at least

https://www.gazettelive.co.uk/news/tees ... n-14420987

“As I’ve said before, there isn’t a lot left for me to do in the BDO other than repeating what I’ve done and won already, so to win the Isle of Man Open is brilliant,” he said.

“There are some fantastic names on that trophy. I got a healthy prize for winning it and great points [klaxon], so yeah, I’m dead chuffed.”

----

“Those who know me well will know that last year was quite difficult for me personally,” he says.

“I should have enjoyed being world champion but I took an awful lot on.

“Then there was the whole BDO/PDC debate But this year I feel like I’ve addressed a lot of things – family, time, work, my game.

“I’m in a great place, practice is going fabulous.

“And when you’re happy, that’s reflected in your game.

“Now it’s about sustaining it.

“I don’t do a lot of the circuit now, I don’t think I’ve got a ‘proper’ game as such until the World Darts Trophy, which is the next big one and that’s in May.

“But it’s just a case of continuing with what I’m doing now. Things are going well.”

Wasn't that shit entirely of his own making though?

He should have kept quiet and said nothing. No "I want to go to the PDC", no "actually, I'm going to stay in the BDO", just play the fucking game.

Exactly...of his own making. Like most things in the BDO no one is paying attention to them except once year. They have to manufacture their own drama, create their own self importance and relevance. Other than a couple of fake dart journalist and glorified sport bloggers who is paying attention to them?

Now you've reminded me how his entire run to the Lakeside semis was basically the "Glen Durrant Switching" show.

At least the likes of Noppie, Cammy and Yozza crashed out without comment.

"Worldwide expansion is our aim" – PDC
When Dave Allen joined the Professional Darts Corporation (PDC) as Head of Media in 2004, there was no such thing as Twitter, Instagram or Snapchat; and Facebook was still in its infancy.

He was a one-man media department armed with just a website at his disposal, and televised darts was limited to just a handful of events mainly held in this country.

Darren Webster suffers suspected broken nose after brutal attack in Barnsley: http://www.live-darts.com/category/off- ... 0408-0001/
The Norwich thrower had participated in a Players Championship event at the Barnsley Metrodome - a venue adjacent to Barnsley FC's Oakwell stadium - where Barnsley had faced local rivals Sheffield United earlier in the day.

Webster had left the venue following a Last 32 defeat to Max Hopp when he was confronted by a group of football fans, who had approached and asked whether he was from Sheffield.

The 49-year-old replied that he was darts a player from Norwich and before being able to reveal the darts shirt from under his jacket, was headbutted by one thug, leaving him with blood streaming from his nose.

Must have been headbutted by a fellow midget.

The attacker should be easy enough to find, must have put his back out stooping that low.

Interesting interview with Mickey Mansell. He was a footballer.
