missed this today....but delighted Tipp won
micko will be pissed as a fart.
Sick shit of kilkenny dominating, so suspect the rest of the country was rooting for tipperary.

Delighted Tipp won.
In the six months I lived there, didn't see one kid with a football. Every kid in every park was wielding a hurley.

Those muck savages live and breath hurling.
They are the heroes, celebs etc to kids.
Its like a widespread mental illness, and slating hurling has them wanting to kill you.
I caused more ructions in the hogan stand var and the lac's (railway bar ) in roscrea in my early days.

My sisters fella is from Tipp. It's quite an experience being in the same room as him when Tipp are on telly, I've got a foul-mouth, but even I was shocked by the language coming out of him.Justin Credible wrote:The Shank wrote:Delighted Tipp won.

Was in a pub with him a couple of years back in Killarney, he insinuated to a couple of the locals that the Sam Maguire was a consolation prize for counties that can't play a proper sport. Didn't go down very well at all.

Re: FAO Gaz
tell me about it.
The number of times people in the GAA backwater counties would ask me " will ye win on sunday ? "
and I reply win what ?
They say the hurling or football and I would reply dont know, dont care and fuck the GAA, they would stare at you like you were deranged.

Re: FAO Gaz
GAA types could be a bunch of cunts back in the day.
Me and my brother and a few friends were kicking a ball (soccer) around on the local pitch, some old idiot walked out and told us to clear off, informed us it was a GAA pitch, and not for "our sort".
Not sure If that same attitude still prevails 25 years later.

Strangely enough we never encountered that attitude in Tipp, only in Cork.
Tipp natives were too busy trying to kill each other with their sticks to give a fuck about a few kids with a football.

Re: FAO Gaz
the only all ireland I ever went to was cork -v- mayo in 89.
my buddy ( who got ms and died) got 2 tickets and asked me to go.
Got to dublin and tickets as always were like goldust, and a face value of 14 quid then,
Walking down by the stadium there was a neighbour of mine getting abuse of his mother who was part of a big GAA family, I heard her as usual before I saw her.
She gave he son a bollicking for selling his ticket for 60 quid, I thought I will do the same and got 75 quid I think for mine, some tickets were selling for 200 quid, and this in the 80s.
I went to a pub got pissed and played cards on the train and back drinking in cork.
When I woke up the following morning I still had the same money in my pocket as the 75 quid and card winnings covered my day on the piss.

Apparently they didn't pay respects at a funeral back in mayo, the fact they were literally in the back of a truck at the time has no bearing. The Ginge Reaper wrote:Some bollocks about a gypsy curse.Justin Credible wrote:mayo have lost all 8 of their all ireland finals since 1951

no surprise as mayo and the north east of ireland is completely over run by pikeys.
People living in that rural spot always victims of burglary and intimidation.
Beautiful scenery, desolate but destroyed by gypo cunts.
Every person up there has a shotgun and rightly so.
remember when padraig nally not only shot some pikey knacker gypo cunt who came back to rob his house, he reloaded and shot the cunt again...dead.
Was huge outcry when he got jailed, Tony Martin, the english farmer who shot a gypo as well backed nally.

Dublin 2 goals no points. Not very often you see a score line like that.
