The McCann's may have also blamed "some Puerto Rican guy" as well.

I haven't read much about Madeline McCann, but I assume not many people think they actually killed her. Mostly they would think they were stupid/selfish etc to leave her unchecked for so long.

I've watched a lot of documentaries about Jonbenet Ramsey and none of the theories make much sense. The most common one is that the brother killed her accidentally but that has holes. Or the mother killed her because she was wetting the bed, or the father because he was molesting her. None of those really seem likely to me. But then why would an intruder spend so much time in the house writing that note, and then not take the body?

It is a complete mystery to me.
