Will the allegations ever go away?

Drugs cheat or not?

He's a professional cyclist, so yes, probably.

How do I put this in a polite sort of way, CHEATING FUCKING YANK.
One year I got a bike for my birthday. So I went peddling off down the road and knocked an old lady down.
'Can't you ring your bell?' She said. 'I can ring my bell,' I said 'But I can't ride my bike'

I ain't picking holes, but I would suggest everyone else was on the juice as well, so he was still probably the best rider.

Ah, but the thread is about Lance Armstrong and not the other cheats.

Of any of them, I would give him the most leeway.

nuh-uh. never tested positive in any drug tests. some 500 of them? in and out of racing
accusers have always choked on the the bitter pills they themselves have swallowed when it comes to any proof.
as a youngster, armstrong was a national triathalon champion before he got into bike racing.
some idiots would have you believe he was on the dope at the age of 12.

meanwhile the final ruling on last year's race winner alberto contador, who failed his test should be determined shortly.

That sounds like a cracking idea and they should extend it to all sports. Some bugger would run the 100 metres in about 5 seconds

I can see that working in athletics, two separate organisations maybe. One organisation staying true to the foundations of the sport, abiding by all the regulations and traditions that are in place today, priding itself on being the true sport of athletics while the other one, while still loosely based on the same disciplines would allow criminal activity among its members, not follow the rules to the letter (All distances accurate to 20%) and become obsessed by times, distances & points totals of its competitors, rather than who actually won & of course competitive . I could see a situation developing where the new organisation would actually become more popular than the original thanks to its main star (a particularly deplorable discus thrower with a patronising personality who can throw his discus 20 metres further than everyone else) treating the world to a discus throwing master classes week in week out. His interviews would become the stuff of legend, name dropping such past greats as Ben Johnson, Dwain Chambers & Marion Jones then giving away his discus to a child in the crowd.

Then again, nothing like that could ever really happen could it?

Just did what every other fucker did, cycling has been bent since it’s inception, no wonder that scruffy cunt from Nantwich took one out with his van.
