Sedláček, Gawlas and Jirkal are better than anyone from Hungary tbf, the Czech event should be decent next year. Hope they can get on the main OoM before their deadline and avoid having to take part in that depressing qualifier. Székely is your best guy, who else would be favourites to make it to Budapest?

Not convinced that the ET's are all about the players from those locations, think arses in seats is part of the equation as well. o.k. except for Gibraltar which the gov't paid for. I still think when and if the pdc split the tour it is going to be the ET's that will be an integral part of the top end of the game. Would expect an event or two in the UK to arise at that time as well.

Lakatos and Kovács are regulars at the World Youths and Dev Tour with winning matches against experienced players and running deep, when they play there, Végső is also a decent player in Central-Eastern Europe. Lakatos almost won tour card this year.

Anyway, the quality of players and holding events professionally are very different things.

How about Rodders in commentary saying that in the next 5 years he wants to see 30 Euro Tour events eventually replacing the Pro Tours.

I would guess he means replacing the Pro Tours as far as the majority of the top 32 are concerned which is probably a natural progression, could see the number of tour card holders increase to anything up to or above 200 I would say.

Opening weekend of Eastern European qualifiers, clashes with the opening ProTour weekend, which is annoying for the likes of Koltsov if he can get off to a flier on the Challenge Tour again. These qualifiers are a big chance for any Hungarians or Czechs to get a leg up on qualifying for their home events later on in the season, be interesting especially to see who joins Sedlacek in Prague

Are there any seeds?

I guess not...
PDC European Tour #2
Boris Koltsov 6-5 Benjamin Pratnemer (SF)
PDC European Tour #3
Boris Koltsov 5-6 Pratnemer Benjamin (L32)

They could do first event of the year to be a lottery :) and from second one - seedings. Why not?
But then again, look at PCs.
