Waites quits his job to become full time pro. Would you have believed this 5 years ago?

Doesn't always go as planned when guys do this, look at Darren Webster. Waites doesn't seem they type to me to be disciplined enough to be a full-time pro.

Tried it for a few months about 12-18 months ago when he had gotten close to top 10, struggled and was bored, results went to shit and went back to work.

I think young guys coming through now that have never had jobs can cope more than fine with it but I think if you've been used to working and are 30+ it can be a tough adjustment both mentally and time management wise.

Plus a few players like Webster and Cullen said Clayton is the tightest player on tour so i'd say he is being overly cautious and doesn't want to give up the income.

No I would not. Another drifter for whom the removal of the Q-School ban made all the difference initially.

Remarkable to think about what his 2010 Slam title pre-dates. The tour card system for one.

President Donald Trump is honestly the first thing that came to mind... Not the symbol of how times change one would wish for.

I wonder if he hadn't reached those two finals in Wolves, would he had given the PDC a go? Nice little earner the Grand Slam was for him

Moaning again
Raymond van Whiningbastard wrote:“Of course I hoped that Michael (van Gerwen) would be here, but that is not allowed by the PDC. They didn’t offer cooperation,” Van Barneveld told RTL 7.

“And I find it quite disappointing that some players, whom I have known for a few years, send a message sporadically. I got a message from Michael van Gerwen and Vincent van der Voort, and then it ends. Sad. ”

“They are all busy with themselves, and I understand that, but because of me they can still play these tournaments,” the five-time World Champion said, referring to the Players Championship events this weekend. ”Doing nothing is a lack of respect. Sending a message costs nothing at all, but it shows education and respect if you do.”
What a fucking prick.

Possibly claiming responsibility for the PDC's success and therefore the lucrative tour it provides today?

I'm sure there's a shade of truth in there somewhere but what a pompous load of old bollocks.

The obese postman ain't a darts player anymore. Remove this crap to the dustbin and I never want to see him mentioned again. Complete lack of self awareness.
