Its a ranking event too? Jesus fuck. At least with a prize pool of £2.5 million that will mean it will be open to every player, unlike that tour championship shite.

Looking 4 unexpected wins out of 4 then. Maguire is especially fantastic.

Just saw that on Twitter.
Outrageous!

Also something outrageous.
Joe Perry is ranked 16?
He's got to be like Wayne Warren's age?
He's been knocking around for donkeys years!

He's 45, a pro since '91.
The only Mervert in town.

4 games, 4 'upsets'. Opening up very nicely, but I can't see it continuing tomorrow.

I was being a tad bit facetious with his age.😅
I forget that a lot of snooker pros ultimately turn pro in their late teens or even mid teens.

This 4th frame of Kryen v Jack is a bit of a disgrace.

So thats 6/8 lower ranked players winning. With only Robertson and Selby getting close of the losers. Must be the biggest bloodbath at the masters in a very long time.

I fancy Higgins with all his grit and experience to go on and win it.

The whole event has been a dire clusterfuck. Only one century a game on average.
