Oh dear. The mystery of the BDO's "toxic" state continues.

The Sun calls it "an astonishing Facebook rant" but to everyone else it was surely notable for being one of the milder ones.

Her choice of words, says it all... Imagine any future sponsor reading that, hypothetically that is , because it is over for the bdo.

Enjoy the last few days of the bdo..RIP

You could extend Barney's departure from the sport to a whole year

Co Stompe reflects with sadness. Translated. https://translate.google.com/translate? ... -over.html

Nothing is left of the most beautiful darts tournament in the world today

The Home of Darts is like a pub just before closing. The bright light has stripped the party of its atmosphere, high time to go home and tidy up. No matter how cozy it was and despite all the wonderful memories, it is ready for now.

The BDO World Darts Championship is quietly ready for the quarterfinals. But the conversation of the day is mainly the loss of the event.

The Embassy was once the most beautiful and prestigious darts tournament in the world, for which people were glued to the pipe at the turn of the year. Is someone still watching and does it still exist next year? "The participants should receive a ribbon," says Co Stompé with some cynicism.

The former top darter (57) reached the semi-finals twenty years ago, when almost the entire world top was still present. "There is nothing left of it. It's not up to the darters. They do their best, while they don't even know what they can win in advance."

Translated. Kleermaker really an unhappy fellow. https://www.rtl7darts.nl/nieuws/3502/kl ... _lsquo_vo/

The British Darts Organization (BDO) is in very bad weather. The room of the BDO World Cup Darts is hardly filled and messages about financial flaters are piling up. The players also do not know where they stand.

This morning rumors came out that the prize money from the BDO Darts World Championship will go even further down. World Cup participant Martijn Kleermaker is still in the dark. "I have heard messages about reducing the prize pool even more, but nothing has been said to me by the board."

"If it has indeed been lowered even more, you know that the BDO is gradually ending its story", the 28-year-old Dutchman continues. "The money just seems to be used up and bills cannot be paid."

President
Players cannot ask for confirmation. BDO chairman Des Jacklin hardly shows up. "I don't think he dares to face us, because we hardly see him in the players' room either. If you are chairman of the BDO and you organize the World Cup then you can expect that you would see him, but not so."

The chairman's credit, who took up his duties in August 2018, is therefore exhausted. "He has no support from me and many with me. It seems to me to be an untenable situation," says Kleermaker firmly.

Heater
Despite the problems, Kleermaker remains focused on winning his matches at the World Cup. "Of course it is not really a World Cup as you imagine it, but nonetheless I just want to win my matches, because I am not here for nothing!"

Kleermaker also sees the World Cup as a good exercise. "Yes, in the end this is the warm-up for Q-school. Fetching a tour card is perhaps even more important this year than in recent years in view of developments at BDO."
