Especially when he'd actually hit the bull first dart no problem on the same checkout earlier in the match.

I spose it's about regular for Thornton style wise but he seemed desperate to sling away those two match darts just to get rid of them.

Yes that was a clear mistake. I think his rythm was good today, he played well speeding up a bit. However it's different to get into that flow when going for T20s, and when moving around the board for key doubles.

So it looks like a 5-2 will definitely be enough for Thornton against Suzuki. If he wins 5-3, he'd only be knocked out if Dimitri wins exactly 5-4; if he wins 5-4, a 5-3 from Dimitri would eliminate him too.
