It should be Denmark instead of Czech republic as there was no athmosphere in Prague last year compared to Denmark were there was was a ton of athmosphere

About bloody time it went to Belgium. Could have removed one of the German venues to accommodate Denmark though.

Baltic qualifiers for ET 1 & 2 are Daniel Larsson, who will be going to Hasselt having won in Helsinki a month ago, and Darius's pal Mindaugas Barauskas, who bested a field of just 9 players in Riga last weekend to make it through to the Sindelfingen event.

Dennark really respected the players and showed that they really loved their darts and the fact that Matt Porter didn't see that is absolutely ludicrous

No reason not to have one in the UK

Disappointing that the Nordic/Baltic region has lost out, even though I'd have liked to see Sweden get an event rather than Denmark as it has the strongest depth in the region.

Pleasantly surprised that Belgium is back on the schedule after the last time the PDC went there, but anywhere outside of Germany is a plus, and there are some half decent Belgian players without a tour card

Looking forward to the Hungarian host nation qualifier.

Denmark should have kept theirs.

Seen some Scandinavians on Twitter who seems convinced that Denmark is getting a World Series event, that would be something for those guys, although I don't think the World Series should be for Europeans

Big changes for the 2020 ET: https://dartsnews.com/exclusive-shake-u ... ng-system/
It has now been revealed that 18 players will automatically enter each event. The PDC Pro Tour’s top 16 will be invited as normal, but now the two highest-ranked players from the host country will attend. If one or more players from a host country are among the seeds, then these places shift to the numbers three and possibly numbers four from the host nation. Like the Pro Tour invitees, the two home nation entrants must win their first match to earn ranking money.

The 2020 European Tour season starts at the end of February with the Belgian Darts Championship in Hasselt. PDC Europe has already announced that Kim Huybrechts and Dimitri van den Bergh will compete in this tournament, as a result of the rule change.

The remaining 30 spots are distributed through various qualifying tournaments. PDC Tour Card holders now play in one qualifying tournament, with 24 places on offer. The UK-based and European qualifiers will be played on the Friday before a Players Championship weekend. Invitations to top ranked home-based players come partly at the expense of the Host Nation Qualifier. From now on, two spots will be on offer instead of four.

The three other qualifying tournaments remain unchanged. PDC Nordic & Baltic players compete for one place, as do competitors from Eastern Europe. In addition, there is an Associate Member Qualifier with two spots for players who participated in the European Q-School but not won a Tour Card. Associate Member qualifying events will be played at the same time as Host Nation Qualifiers.

A guaranteed spot in 7 European Tours for Max Hopp after he and all his German pals failed to make the Euros? Well that's convenient

Here's my remarks
Cinnamon Bun wrote: Fri Nov 08, 2019 6:26 pm It should be Denmark instead of Czech republic as there was no athmosphere in Prague last year compared to Denmark were there was was a ton of athmosphere
Agreed. Denmark is the gateway to Scandinavia, and there's lots more to offer there than lonely Czechia.
Also, Czechia is not far away from Hungary so why bother having two in that region while Austria is also near?
Fiss Plaps wrote: Fri Nov 08, 2019 6:31 pm About bloody time it went to Belgium. Could have removed one of the German venues to accommodate Denmark though.
Belgium was justified looking how they removed the European Championship there and moved it over to Germany.
Safc wrote: Fri Nov 08, 2019 6:37 pm Still cant see why they cant have 1 in each country to be fair to everyone

Germany
Austria
Netherlands
Belgium
Gibraltar
Spain
Czech
Denmark
Sweden
Finland
Russia
Hungary
Poland
I'll come with a list of my own, but Germany having a few more than one is justified also since it's a big country with many more players spread all over the country than other nations on the Euro Tour.
M H wrote: Fri Nov 08, 2019 6:39 pm No reason not to have one in the UK
Because UK has so many Premier League venues and PDC Majors and Players Championship events. No wonder they only held one in 2013.
James Harrogate wrote: Fri Nov 08, 2019 7:11 pm Looking forward to the Hungarian host nation qualifier.
Not me. I don't really understand much why they even went to Hungary in the first place and not some other country.

This would be my 13-event Euro Tour:
Germany x4
Austria
Netherlands
Belgium
Spain
Denmark
Poland
Greece
Croatia
Italy

No Hungary, no Gibraltar (like wtf what is Gibraltar doing on the Euro Tour), no Czechia. East European players get two qualifiers for each tournament just like Scandinavia. 16 UK qualifiers, 4 host nation qualifiers, 6 European Tour Card holders and 2 non-Tour Card holders from West Europe.
Out of the new additions, I'd like to see Poland most, then Spain (because Spain would replace Gibraltar), then Croatia, then Italy, then Greece.

No chance for Croatia and Italy getting an event. No fucker would go to these really. There is just much more demand in countries like Czech Republic, Poland or Hungary. Sure the Hungarian players are crap, but an Euro Tour event there is great and the interest in that will be much better than if it was in Croatia or Italy, no doubt about that. Also Greece should have nothing to do with it, they have that one fat fuck John Michael but apart from that I just don't see enough demand there to do anything significant. I think a Spanish event should definitely happen in the coming years, but to all those other countries you suggested, they shouldn't and they aren't too likely.

Poland will have an event in 1-2 years and they should. I grouped them together with Czech Republic and Hungary because it's pretty much the same situation, darts is booming there. I guess the PDC thought 3 events in the very same region would be excessive, or maybe there were other obstacles in Poland.

As in recent years, each event will feature 48 players and sees the top 16 players from the ProTour Order of Merit seeded through to the second round.

PDC Tour Card Holders will now compete in one combined qualifier for a total of 24 places in the tournament, having previously been split into UK and European Qualifiers.

The top two ranked players from each Host Nation will also qualify by right, where applicable, as two of four players representing each Host Nation.

Further qualifiers will come from the PDC Nordic & Baltic and East Europe regions (one place per tournament), with two places reserved for an Associate Member Qualifier, which will be open to players who competed at the 2020 PDC Qualifying School but did not win a Tour Card.
