This seems at best stagnant and at worst a backwards step.

Re: PDC Calendar 2020
If I were to guess, I'd say that the TBC event will be in another Nordic country, probably Sweden. Would be somewhat balanced that way, but then again I might be giving the PDC too much credit...Captain Hobo wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 12:16 pm 12 European Tour Events, 1 less than this year

Re: PDC Calendar 2020
At best, if the TBC event is in the Nordic/Baltic region, we'll have the same breakdown as this year (minus the second Austrian event). Surely if they're gonna have a Hungarian event they should at least keep the Czech event, I know the home players were largely a letdown, but there are solid enough players who for some reason didn't make it, and Sedláček played well, better than anything Griepel's lot can throw up

Re: PDC Calendar 2020
I'd have kept 13 events, take two away from Germany and add to Poland and Sweden, but that would make too much sense apparently

Re: PDC Calendar 2020
A new event in Hungary is pretty good, they deserved one. Though no Czech and Denmark event means this is barely an improvement. TBC could be Poland too I guess?
I don't see associate qualifiers though, so surely the qualifying system from last year changes?

Re: PDC Calendar 2020
Have they announced the qualifying system? Definitely don't see them altering the 4 HNQs, could see them doing something about the Associate qualifiers, or the two separate qualifiers for tour card holdersoche balboa wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 12:49 pm 1 less euro tour event & they have kept the silly qualifying system

Both in September, moved from the thick end of the year. This year (right now) there are no TV events at all in September.Captain Hobo wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 12:16 pm Champions League and World Series Finals both move forward
A nice bit of de-cluttering. Two TV events starting in each of Sept, Oct and Nov.

I like that but they really should have moved something to the first half of the yearRogg wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 2:59 pmBoth in September, moved from the thick end of the year. Re: PDC Calendar 2020
From the PDC's perspective I'd think the Champions League could be played at any time as it's not dependent on a year-long list. The Thorn wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 3:05 pmI like that but they really should have moved something to the first half of the yearRogg wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 2:59 pmBoth in September, moved from the thick end of the year. Re: PDC Calendar 2020
Should be good for Gando, these days he plays well all the way to the Worlds when his back gives way, all those events so close to each other can't be good for himRogg wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 2:59 pmBoth in September, moved from the thick end of the year. Re: PDC Calendar 2020
At what point do they just scrap "European" from the name and just hold all the events in Germany. Clearly PDC Europe don't want to diversify it if they're putting over half of the events there.Captain Hobo wrote: ↑Mon Sep 09, 2019 12:16 pm 12 European Tour Events, 1 less than this year

If it needs to stick to 12, I would put 4 in Germany, 2 in Netherlands, 2 in Austria, 1 each in Belgium and Gibraltar, 1 in an Eastern European country and 1 in a Nordic/Baltic country. Still means that while Germany is the biggest, you've got 7 countries involved, one more than what it seems it looks like here.
Amazes me that there still hasn't been a Euro Tour event in Belgium. I know the Euros were there for 3 years but to have never had a ET event is rather puzzling.

Re: PDC Calendar 2020
The Euros weren't really well attended in Belgium if memory serves, so that may be a reason. I can't be sure but I think there's more support in Austria, Hungary, Czech Republic etc than it is in Belgium. Still they could have an ET I presume but so could many other countries.

I get the feeling Hearn really doesn't listen to anyone and thinks he can do no wrong the ET and Grand Slam situation been the 2 that really annoy me
