Who’s Your Tip Right Now For The Worlds?
If somebody gave you a free win only £100 bet on who is going to win the 2020 World Champs, who would you go far?
For me Michael Smith, for he has atlast woken up and can smell the sweet winning oxygen. If I was asked only as recently as 24 hours ago I would go for somebody else.
Also I have the betting instinct on him now,yes I firmly go for Bully Boy.

100% MVG. He won't be crap forever and who would be the one to beat him? Those who always wilt against him (Cross, Smith, Wright, Price, Chisnall)? Those who might stand up to him but dont have the game to win a WC right now (Gurney, Suljovic, GAndo)? Those who are just a bit shit in general (Shitlock, White, Clayton, Lewis, Webster)?
Leaving in the top 16 just Wade, who has never made a final and is looking dodgy as sin right now and Aspinall, who hasn't been tested against MVG in a long format and i dont think is quite the finished product.
Cant see why anyone would bet anything other than Baldie.

Yep, I generally agree with this, MvG is always favourite for the Worlds, especially with the other outstanding player of this era on the wane, and with the long format too. I do wonder how tonight's winner will react to winning the Matchplay, alright they won't have beaten MvG along the way, but surely getting over the line in a big one will be a massive boost to their careerEmulsfier wrote: ↑Sun Jul 28, 2019 1:24 pm 100% MVG. First thought for any event will always be MvG as he is when on his game unbeatable. That said I'm starting to think he's lost the desire, money tends to do that. Look at how many events he misses now, a few years back he was hungry for them all.
Very hard to say but I think a total outsider will do it next up, don't ask me which one

Providing his form picks up between now and December, it's hard to see past van Gerwen over that format. If he remains in this bad patch though, I don't know. There's no-one else really standing out.

Fuck knows. A few months ago Wright and Smith were not playing well. Now they are two of the PDC's most in form players.
If I had to bet though, I would go for MVG.

I will always want Wade to win as i became a massive fan of his in 2006 but he has very little chance in reality. MVG or Cross for me.

If MvG gets fucked off early doors then Cross could win it again.
They're all here!

Re: Who’s Your Tip Right Now For The Worlds?
MVG would still be favourite followed by Cross. I know Wade doesn’t have a great record in the worlds but I do believe he will at least make the final in the next 3-4 years.
Durrant over a long format is also an outsider.
I’m also going to say that Bunting will have a long run, semi final maybe??

Re: Who’s Your Tip Right Now For The Worlds?
MvG will be motivated for this but with the current erratic form of the top 10, this is a tough one to call.
I would put money on MvG but if he goes out early, I haven't got a clue..
I don't think anyone outside top 10 could be consistent enough but, this year could be the one.
Definitely a lot more open than previous years
