Oh dear.

Means the BDO paid for the venue and only revenue will be ticket sales as there's no sponsor. They may get a slice of Eurosport advertising revenue but I can't see that covering the costs.

As a comparison I think the PDC pay nothing for Blackpool and get the ticket revenue. The venue gets beer and food sales

Correct me if I am wrong, but aren't BDO events chav-filled fiascos? Hardly a setting for kids.

The opens are full of people who only go there for the piss. I guess if he's exclusively talking about the couple TV events the BDO still has, there is some truth in the statement.
