I think Federer and Nadal's tennis is definitely more stylish, but there is just something about Djokovic's defensive and returning ability that is quite frankly incredible to watch.

He has won all his slams in the era of the two most successful players of all time.
Wasnt feeding on bottom feeders like Federer was for the 1st 4 years of his grand slam wins.

Yep. Also has a winning record against the two of them.Randall wrote: ↑Fri Jul 12, 2019 8:50 pmHe has won all his slams in the era of the two most successful players of all time.

I dont particularly like him but his record is beyond compare.
Too many of Nadal's slams won in one place for him to be the goat although Injuries have played a part in that clearly.
Djokovic has owned him for the last 8 years.

Honestly thought Federer couldn't play at that level like anymore. He might be there another few years yet

I forgot there was a final today
It also makes me think about the h2h with Federer and Nadal. I assume it would be closer if they'd played as much on grass as on clay.

Or maybe not because Nadal would have lost early for many years.

What a performance from Halep today, 1 break up and 2 games away from winning, come on

Obviously nadal bosses it on clay and Federer 3-1 on grass. I'd have expected Federer to have done far better on hard courts but for a few years there he had a mental block where Nadal was concerned I think.
Now he is playing his own game and going for it he has been on a long winning streak apart obviously the paris semi.

I'm happy with the result, but that match lasted a whole 56 minutes. So much about that equal pay..

They should play 5 sets from QF onwards, plenty of time to do it from that point.bojeru wrote:I'm happy with the result, but that match lasted a whole 56 minutes. So much about that equal pay..

Absolutely no excuse not to play the semis and final best of 5 at the absolute minimumThe Ginge Reaper wrote: ↑Sat Jul 13, 2019 3:34 pmThey should play 5 sets from QF onwards, plenty of time to do it from that point.bojeru wrote:I'm happy with the result, but that match lasted a whole 56 minutes. Doubles final has been insanely entertaining, 4th consecutive tiebreak and it looks like it's heading into a decider

The Colombians win it after almost 5 hours, what an insane match that was.

Before the semi finals I'd have said this was a routine Djokovic win but after them I quietly think federer might win.
