Maybe I didn't expect Gurney to be no.3 for years but that was quick lol
Well it was always gonna happen if he skipped the weekend lol. What's Gurney defending in the coming events? Had a big end to the year so it might be difficult for him to get back up there again
He definitely has a lot to defend for 2017..

Yeah that 2017 was quite good for Gurney. Only positive is that Wright is also defending loads of money.
Spread positivity and love. BDO4LIFE

Don't worry he'll be sliding down the Rankings in no time...
I Expect Michael Smith to start knocking on the top 4 door anytime now.

Oche:
Peter Wright earned £148,250 (ranking) in the first 100 days of 2017; he has earned £20,250 in the first 100 days of 2019
And he has another £111,250 to defend (in Pro Tour events only) before the World Matchplay.

Burton DeWitt @bsd987
Here's the Order of Merit as it will stand tomorrow, after the Easter Monday Euro Tour event from 2017 falls off. Jermaine Wattimena up to a new career high #23 ranking. Jelle Klaasen will fall out next week, most likely replaced by either Steve Lennon or Cristo Reyes.

And in clear form:
2020 World Grand Prix Lucky Dip winner!
2x 2019 Q-School Lucky Dip winner!
Both as valuable as the Lakeside piss pot!

Wright down to #6, although he probably will go back up to #5 next week as Smith is defending £25k. Both Dobey and de Zwaan could force their way into the top 32 as soon as next week

The spectacular De Zwaan joins Dumbo in the Top 32, nice. Aspinall and Brown the others to have cracked the Top 32 since Ally Pally.

Impressive from de Zwaan, wasn't especially close to the top 32 at the end of last year, and has got there already almost exclusively off the back of ProTour events
Burton's list. How many more new guys will make it into the top 32 come Ally Pally I wonder? Dobey, Evans, Noppert and Ratajski look like being the next ones, projected to be there or thereabouts come December...

Thanks to Burton for this and for all the lists that have been and are to come.
Burton DeWitt @bsd987
Chris Dobey becomes the 86th person to reach the Top 32 of the PDC Order of Merit, while Jamie Lewis (25) and Max Hopp (26) reach new career-high rankings as well.

Dobey's finally done it! On course for Blackpool now for the first time so he has the capability of jumping a bit further too. Jamie Lewis may have fuck all to defend until the end of the year, but I can't see him rising too far, Hopp has been extremely erratic this year, but this weekend has been a step in the right direction at least

Max Hopp moves up to a career-high #25 ranking, as Vincent van der Voort closes in on a return to the top 32. Steve Beaton is only £4,500 behind #18, which would remarkably equal his highest ever Order of Merit ranking.

This OoM lark is a bit of an anti-climax isn't it? Gurney never able to hold down 3rd for very long, Lennon, de Zwaan and now possibly Dobey about to enter and then almost immediately exit the top 32!

Just shows you need a sustained period of really good results in all tournaments to get very high, no good just clocking a few last 16s etc.

Indeed, you could get away with it a bit more in the past, but the talent has never been deeper

JdZ number 19, Dobey 26 and Lennon 32 in the tour card race rankings..
Kyle down at 36, Kim 33 and Jamie Lewis 46 which is a reflection on current form
I think Kyle will struggle to get back in, the way he is playing..
He seems to have lost that bit of aggression he had in his game..

Kando had been a disappointment. Thought he would kick on after he got visa and his eyes sorted. Alas Smith and Jones he has been shit. He has forgotten how to win.

Has he had some eye problem or did I dream that?
