Crying like a Beppe, i.e. hard enough to make his eye liner run.
Post was this:
"It's year five of The CDC and everyone seems fine with not fixing the ridiculous "schedule" and it's accompanying imbalances and undue hardship. If anyone thinks that the averages seen in the main rounds are anywhere near the talent level of our players best they are sadly mistaken. But who can blame them? As long as there is a winner let's congratulate everyone on a job well done, because everybody did as well they could given the circumstances. It's high time the CDC committed to hosting the qualifiers the day/evening before and actually starting the main event at a firm time. I'm sure people trying to qualify would rather play later in the day. I'm also sure the first qualifier round winners are punished for it by having to sit around for 3 hours before they play again. If it was the night before it would actually be an advantage earned. Also, it is a HUGE advantage to have played in not just one match, but several, before you play someone who is competitively cold in the main round. So many 'shock" results bear this out. FIX IT!!!"
In essence Part wants to make the qualifiers face the undue hardship by missing work and traveling an extra day, and make the CDC set up a day earlier. Also Part is wrong about the standard it is exactly what it is based on a couple years of dart connect the best are just mid 80's players. Those "shock" results he later claimed was sarcastic yet he uses them as reason to FIX IT! So not really sarcastic now is it. Apparently Part has been moaning about this for some time.
After reading the responses, it was interesting that some of the some of the top players don't even know how the CDC set up works and who gets and who has cards. Not surprising as CDC hasn't ever publicly published rules.
Funny as the weekend Part was moaning about was one of maybe 2 weekends in 5 years that CDC had enough participants to actually bring in enough to cover the payout. He has been to Philly enough to know that there is a fucking pub on every corner in this city and in that part of the city there are plenty of boards in those pubs. In fact there is a large social club not far from the venue with about 8 boards. The seeds could have gone to, warmed up and then a short drive like 3 or 4 minutes gone back to the venue.

'Price is going to appeal his 21k fine'
I understand why, Anderson received sod all even though his comments before the match started this. I dont condone cheating but he didn't physically hurt anyone (unlike Lewis). Like a typical bully shouts his mouth off and winges like a baby when somebody gives it back!

Re: Random Dart Stuff
Aye, so he should, especially in regards to the final and the post-final social media post. If I remember rightly, £12,000 of the fine was for what happened in the final against Anderson, while £1,500 was for the "Keep Calm and Gary On" tweet. The other £8,000 was for what happened against Whitlock in the quarter final. The Thorn wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2019 2:45 pm Price is going to appeal his 21k fine

Re: Random Dart Stuff
Yes it was. I didn't think the Whitlock game warranted any fine at all. The fine for the Anderson one is right but it's disproportionate when Ando and Wade get away with fuck all.

Re: Random Dart Stuff
What rule did Price break against Anderson? Celebrating isn't against the rules, nor is growling or shouting "c'mon" after hitting a score or double. Anderson went into the exclusion zone more than once while Price was still there, and shoved Price, both against the rules. It really is a mystery going by the rules how Price copped a £12,000 fine for what happened in the final, while Anderson got no fine at all. It can't be justified.
In reality, I think Price got it in the neck because he isn't as big a name as Anderson (especially back then), and because he's got a rugby player's physique which can be intimidating when combined with a competitive mindset. It also doesn't paint the powers that be in a good light, considering that players are encouraged to be "characters", so fining Price looked really hypocritical on their part. The fine suggests that they want players to be robots rather than characters.

wasn't the first time he (price) was warned for gamesmanship, which is different than celebrations.PT13 wrote: ↑Wed Apr 17, 2019 9:32 pmAye, so he should, especially in regards to the final and the post-final social media post.
