All in all, a very positive group of players! There are one or two players Im disappointed about (namely Cody Harris), but apart from possibly van der Meer and de Sousa (if indeed they get their cards), they've all got some pedigree on a PDC affiliated tour in recent years (de Sousa may not have that experience, but is as good as many of the guys who do). Good mix of young players and grizzled veterans too, I can handle seeing the return of John Michael if it's accompanied by the likes of Zonneveld/van Duivenbode/Bunse

Timely bump there from DartJack, they've updated the number of entries for UK Q-School, and it's only just nudged above 250. De Sousa looking likely to get a card now, maybe even Kuivenhoven and Rasztovits too

The UK entry total went up by more than 50% during the last four days last year, FWIW. I think it's going to end up similar to last year's 445 entries.

They could always fudge it and say the pro rata split applies to the full 30 cards after all - in that case the UK school would need 463 entries to get 12 cards, not only 441.

I'm rooting for a lowish total in any case, since 7 cards for the EU school would give a nice split there (10 points = in, 9 points = out), rather than needing the tie-breaks.

Végső has shoulder injury, that's why he underperformed.

Nicho not going to Wigan, not all that surprising given that he hinted that he'd be playing some non-PDC events on comms with Mason. A bit of a shame, but if he feels he's best placed coming back in 2020 then good luck to him. Bet there'll be loads of Q-Schoolers pleased at that news though!

Now you see unlike chumps like Newton and Hamilton, Nicho is one who I could see benefitting by using the Lakeside route as a bit of a springboard to try and get a bit of confidence back.

If nothing else it will keep him the fuck away from the comms for the first couple of days.

True, he's not completely shot to pieces so he'd no doubt be a threat at Lakeside (even more in a depleted field), but he said he'd take a different path doing soft-tip and open events

This ^^^^, plus the more travelling he does the more chance the cunt might be involved in a fatal road accident.

A sorry sight that tweet. I had hopes for Humphries after his run in the Worlds. He's going to have to drop that BDO "everyone's a family" mentality if he's going to do anything in the PDC.
