Been struggling for years now, the answer is give it up!

Chop your arm off and chuck it in the bin.. Then start throwing with your other arm.

You can overcome it mate. I’ve had dartitus 3 times. First time when I was 19 so gave up for the next 6 years as it was a complete embarrassment going from the best player in the team to the worst overnight. Next time it crept back in after a year of playing so gave up again until I was 32. Then it came back a year ago but I weren’t gonna give up again so I looked for solutions. Was advised to turn up at Darts matches and be a “couldn’t give a monkeys” type of player. I literally couldn’t care less if I hit 1 then missed the board with my next 2. It’s selfish as we’re in a team game most of the time but fuck it. Also he said not to even mention the word dartitus. Imagine it doesn’t even exist, stop telling people u have it and all that crap. Dart what?? That was 10 months ago and I’m playing my best darts since I was 18. It’ll always be lurking about in our subconscious as we are head fucks but u can overcome it. I’m going to go and see a hypnotherapist as well soon 😂 just for a future precaution. Remember “don’t care” and “dart what?”

Only one type I’d of thought. Different severities of course

Longer darts, so the point is practically touching the board

Talking about dartitis here, hmm?
I am a thinker, an overthinker.
I've read some people say that when you start overthinking your throw with your throwing hand, you should throw with your other hand. I can tell you that doesn't work because I'm still as competitive with left as with right, and throwing poorly with left pisses me off even more.
Nowadays I do other stuff on the attic besides darts, like playing chess against myself or playing football with a tiny rubber band ball, and when I do play darts I just chuck them at the board without caring about where they go. That also meant that I throw in the most ridiculous ways, and every day I throw differently.
Well, at least I don't play competitively any more, so I am free to do whatever I want. I did ask for new darts though because I only have like one good set.
