Sorry if you’ve been asked this a million times. But would you give up the day job to focus on darts for a few years?

Scott Mitchell @scottydogdart 20h
Not currently, but I’d never say never, it doesn’t fit with my life off the board plus I don’t like the M6 !!!!
..

Scott Mitchell @scottydogdart 19h
I never say never, one day I may get that chance, for now contented where I am. I’m a Wolfe fan too, he gave me his shirt from our final, one of my most treasured possessions , no matter how many stars on your shirt, only real champions knows how to loose !!!
So he'll never travel to the northern events or North Wales or Scotland I guess
But will travel to Turkey and every other obscure city that the BDO hold their events...
And of course Preston

It's never going to dawn on Mitchell that his "I don't like to travel" excuse for not trying Q-School is weak as piss, is it.

Assuming he went to Q-School and failed to get a Tour Card, he'd be going to three places in 2019: Wigan, Peterborough and Wolverhampton. Even if in the unlikeliest of circumstances he got a Tour Card, the furthest he'd be going is to Gibraltar for a weekend and that's assuming he'd qualify for it.

That is far less travelling than he's doing as a BDO player.

The guy is a tosser hoping everyone clears out of the BDO and gives him the chance to mop up.

Wolfie, Duzza and how many more

Evidently championships are not a sufficient prerequisite for knowing how to spell "lose", though.

That aside - "one day I may get that chance"?! He's pushing 50, ferchrissakes.

Imagine how slow he will be by then

If Mitchell can use his plus one for ol' bessie at the floor events then I would say a good chance he is in for Q-School. He will need the nightly company for consulation as he gets fucked over by the "jobbers" at the PDC events.

Nobody faint. SCOTT WAITES is doing Q-School.

https://metro.co.uk/2019/01/06/scott-wa ... p-8315099/

‘I think Q School will be harder than Lakeside this year,’ Waites told Metro.co.uk.

‘It will be difficult, it will be a long day to keep your focus and concentration for, then potentially you’ve got four of them to do.

‘I think it’s going to be mad.’

‘It’s daft not to enter, it’s a good opportunity for everybody now they’ve opened it up,’ Waites continued. ‘But there’s going to be a hell of a lot of entries, there’s going to be a lot of players. I don’t know what the final numbers will be, I would have capped it at something like 512.’

‘I’ve not really sat down and discussed it with my partner because you might not get through, so there’s no point thinking about ifs and buts.

‘I’m going [to Q School] and I hope to qualify, but there’s no point setting goals and discussing what’s going to happen because you might not get through.

‘It will probably be on people’s minds at Lakeside, but for me it’s in the future and I’ve got to deal with the job in hand this week.’

Fucks sake thats unexpected.

All the best to Waites and Duzza at QS. I'd love to see them in the PDC. Don't really care about the rest but Mcgeeney , Williams etc would be decent card holders

My ultimate dreanm is Mitchell switching (know i'll get stick for this) but I doubt that's happpening.

A shame that Waites didn't switch a few years ago, he'd have been pretty much a dead cert to win a card then, now he's just one of the many players that you can put down as a 'maybe'

Yeah, definitely think he would have done well a few years ago, but he doesn't have the consistency now.
I hope Jamie Hughes gets through this year, and I wouldn't mind seeing the likes of Williams, McKinstry and McGeeney give it a go, but as for the rest, other than will he or won't he Durant, I cannot see anyone making much of an impact.

I can't find it now but Parletti said in some recent article that Q-School 'isn't an option for me at the moment.' That's a direct quote according to my memory.

Mitchell, Waites, Mcgeeney, Williams all going Q School apparently.
There will only be Jobbo and Ross the Boss left next year

"I'd love to do a Corey Cadby and win it on the first day then get away but I think that may be wishful thinking.

"I may have to rely on being one of the players who finishes in the top seven or eight that didn't get to a final.
