Your Wildlife Sightings!

Post by cidermaster » Mon Nov 26, 2018 5:14 pm

Just tell us all your latest Wildlife sightings, today while taking out my Boxer Ruby for a good 3 and a half hour local patch walk here in North Wales on the coat i spotted 6 cool Eider Ducks fly past the local seafront,2 males and 4 females noted. Also the local pair of Chough showed well on my local headland.
I love Wildlife and getting out and about,i try to go to the Scottish Highlands once or twice a year for 7-10 night stays, nothing like the atmosphere of seeing Golden Eagles etc etc. Some good haunts for me in North Wales as well with plenty of hunting birds around etc etc.In the last month or so on my local patch near Llandudno i have seen Bottle Nosed Dolphins,Waxwing,Merlin,Whooper Swans,Peregrines amongst other stuff.

All kinds of wildlife on the streets in 'rural' wiltshire :D

We're close to the Cotswold Water Park and there are plenty of opportunities for twitchers etc out there, a great place to go for a day out.

When riding home in the early hours regularly see foxes, the occasional badger, odd hedgehog. The foxes couldn’t give a fuck no wonder so many get squashed. Seen a kestrel sat upon a dead pigeon, again couldn’t give a fuck I was there.

Short migration season though, it all arrives just before the 1st weekend and is all gone again 10 days later.
A lone wolf used to be one of the many sightings but rumours are that the said animal is now extinct.
