Plans to retire after next year's worlds. Probably a ggood decision, can't be arsed anymore other than against MvG, and it would put an end to the will he won't he saga. I wonder whether it makes him more or less likely to be picked for the Premier League

I'd say more likely for premier league, final year tour, people will come to see him for one last time, he'll get an amazing reception on the dutch nights.

Way past his best, massively underachieved in the pdc, lived in Taylor's shadow but a decent watch in full flow.
Got better things to do with his life now, good luck to him.

Probably for the best, his rhythm has completely gone over the last year or so and that was the only thing that carried him through years of fucking about with his darts all the time. That being said he's a player capable of rocking up chucking any old shit he's screwed together for that week, producing magic and beating the likes of MvG completely in the face of the form book, and that will be missed.

Barney has been one of my most disliked players but I still hope he can go out with a bang at Ally Pally 2020. Similarly to what I thought about Taylor. But I don't want to watch him stinking up the PL at all

Doesn't seem that long since his last 'I'll be playing the whole tour next year' announcement, either.

Maybe he could have dragged Taylor down, we will never know.

Didn't Hearn say you can't play the PL without a Tour Card?

I won't miss Barney. Only produced when he could be bothered in recent years.

Unless he does start to play more on the tour, he might have to bring that retirement date forward lol. Unless he goes on a run over Christmas, he'll be in the lower reaches of the top 32 at the start of the year and will need to make sure of qualifying for the Matchplay and the Grand Prix

Good riddance, fat crying baby should have fucked off a couple years ago. He will make more money on the exhbo circuit with Philth.

Hearn has said PL and world series invites are for tour card holders. So no freebies for the fat begging postman.

Barney in his pomp was a pleasure to watch. Unfortunatly when Taylor broke him it he lost his drive. And the last few years some of his performances were an utter disgrace.

So I wont miss this face ache

Another spot up for grabs for a vermin like character now then, Barney will be missed by the mongs in the crowd but that's about it.

I hope Barney can win another big tournament before he retires. He has definitely underachieved in the last 8 years or so, but he does tend to show up near or at his best at the World Championship.

Yep, pretty much nailed on for the PL now. The farewell tour
