When was the last time a BDO final deserved to be called a "Major Final"?
When you actually feel anger over a place like this it's time to get a life

It's a fair point regarding staging etc but the masters final was higher quality and much better to watch.

Oh well, I'll live.
I watched the two semi's again today and tbh you got to hand it to wade. At 10-9 when max set up the d20 wade was on 241.. he threw 180 and then max missed his 3 at doubles. Wade stood at the oche in total silence to hit 25 d18. His 3 dart 102 combo in the last leg was as cool as you like..
Whitlock's comeback was a more nervy affair apart from the three to win it..
I am not a fan of either but fair play to both of them for getting through.
Cullen's face at the end said it all but he had his chances
Hopefully these guys will play like this at ally pally..
Would be good to see max, Joe, plus the likes of JdZ, Jamie Lewis, noppie and Dimitri give the seeds a run for their money..

No question wade pulled it out under pressure.
Just had such high hopes yesterday.

Me too mate.. I really thought max was going to pull it off.. he was so calm throughout that semi but I think he had too much time to think about it in the end..
The next tournaments are big for both Max and Joe now...
Got to kick on and be consistent now if they are going to rise up the rankings..
It was nearly the final we wanted.. I just hope max can keep his GS spot now

I've not been that invested in a game for a long while.
My dislike of wade and so wanting max to win a dangerous combination.

I saw someone on Twitter suggest that they put an end to pushing the quarters, semis and finals all into one day, saying that it's all too much for the players. Obviously these semi-finals were particularly dramatic, so it's perhaps understandable that the final was a damp squib, but I wonder if there's any truth to that. Assuming they could find another session to squeeze in, would we see an upturn in quality if the matches were more spread out?

They need to stop the same day semis and finals at the gsod as well.
Stupid over that course and the final is almost always a let down.

It would be very hard to do that because of the scheduling etc. I don't really see the need for change, it's usually not a big issue on the Euro Tour
